Around the corner

Ericsson - Life of a car 5G

Ericsson needed a digital "world" to demonstrate 5G technology’s applications throughout a car’s life cycle, from production to recycling, in Mozilla Hubs. Commissioned by Around The Corner, I created this world within a triangle budget capped at 70,000 (ideally close to 50,000), which I successfully achieved.

Most models were provided from previous projects, but I needed to create new ones and optimize existing models to reduce triangle counts. I modeled and textured elements such as buildings, the car, trees, fences, streets, and 5G signals. Ericsson also requested animations. Lighting and background were added in Mozilla Hubs after delivery to Around The Corner.

Ericsson - Tech Talent Greenhouse

Ericsson wanted a greenhouse/orangery space for meetings and development discussions with employees in their tech talent program. Commissioned by Around The Corner, I designed this green, tranquil setting.

The challenge was keeping the triangle count low while achieving a lush, secluded feel with dedicated seating areas. Around The Corner provided a plant asset pack, but extensive optimization was needed. I also created ferns to provide fuller coverage with fewer triangles, bringing the total just over 60,000.

To add life, I animated the waterfall, and I modeled and textured elements including the greenhouse, ferns, trees, furniture, lanterns, and a pond. After presenting to Ericsson, I received very positive feedback on the result.
